Cheryl showed me a very cool site just now. How cool? Well, depends on how u describe cool. Some people thinks that cool as in cool is cool enough and some thinks that cool spell as keWL is way damn cool. Geddit?.
Anyway, that's not my topic. This site allows you, in this case me, to type in my name and then the site will find the entire world wide web on sentences related to your name. Confused? When I'm at the site, I typed my Chinese name and of course, there's no such name anywhere (feel kinda proud and sad at the same time). Then, Cheryl suggested Drew's name. As you all know, Drew is such a common name (no offense) . So lots of crappy stuff about Drew appear. This proves that only common English name appears in the search. But then, come to think bout it, if my name Lee Chen appears and is listed in some mental institution list of patients, I'm not suprised at all. Maybe in 5 to 10 years time when China rule the world instead of America, then my name and other chinese names might be common. We'll dominate the world. *Huh?*
Fine. I tried my English name : Amanda. Then, ....................... the website is blocked. Under what reason? Block pornography. Apparently lots of girls under the name Amanda are porn models. SHit!. As expected, Cheryl burst out laughing like olang giler. I tried a few times but still unable to gain access to the website. *Sigh* Then, I asked Cheryl to try using her account but too cannot. I guessed the IT staff blocked the website ...
I actually planned to paste the above mentioned results of my name but too much of stuff to edit. Furthermore, with Emmerie bugging me by my side, she's definitely not helping. Therefore, I'll give you the website for you to try it yourself. It's http://www.googlism.com/. To Taylor's student in Subang Jaya, I dont' think you'll be able to access the site by using any of the college computers thanks to you-know-who.
In fact, to gain access to any other websites such as Friendster & etc is also difficult. I know they have the right to block pornography but this is too much. People like me need entertainmnet *Aihs.. no life wert* But no matter what the IT department staff do, students will still have tricks to counteract it,especially computing students *obviously* or else what's the use of learning computing?! One such trick or programme which i found out today is Mozilla *Can't help thinking that it sounds like Godzilla, Mozarella & Gorilla* Anyway, thanks to anonymous who installed this programme in the computer in computer lab 2, I'm able to surf websites which are banned. I don't surf porn of coz!
But come to think bout it, some crazy fellas really stick their butts on the chair and eyes glue to the computers in the library, surfing unimportant websites such as Friendster or playing online games, especially when you really need a computer to do last minute work. This can be seen during peak hours like before 8.00 am or during break time. *Hear from the experience one* Speaking of computers, sometimes in the morning when I see there're many empty computers, as in no one using it, the feeling of being happy or lucky is soon dashed because either the internet connection is down or the printers are not working. *Curses Xxx100*No wonder no one is using larh. Budoh! So don't get too happy k and always remember not to do last minute work.
This reminds me that it's high time to change the blady computers in college. My gosh! Either the mouse is no working or the keyboard is spoilt and etc. Damn frustrated when you need to do your work!
Btw, how did i get so far??!! I'm out of the topic. Surely fail if this is my BM karangan. I can imagine my ex BM (bahasa melayu for you people who totally discard BM from your brain) Pn. Noorin writing the word "TERPESONG" on my paper. I'm so glad that there's no need to write anymore BM karangan or doing tatabahasa. Remember?!! Actually, English also lerh. But now can fully concentrate in improving my English. The state of my BM now is rojak with bahasa indon + jawa, contribution from my gTL crew.
Bottomline, name is really important? I dont really know the meaning of my Chinese name, Lee Chen but I think my late paternal grandfather wants me to be as clear and green as the grass. HmmpH~ And as for Amanda, which is given to me by my aunty means lovable. Kinda yuckie to me but whutodo? It's my name and dare you not love me?!! -.-
