Sunburn

I'm so toasted that I've passed through 3 different phases: Chinese-Malay-now, Indian in only a week span.

Arrghhhh!.. Not only that, after layers of sunblocks: SPF15, SPF50 and SPF130, plus a base layer of toner, my face has literally become an oil-mine.

No thanks to, 2 days of Inter-college volleyball competition in the scorching morning which lasted till the late afternoon. That means, 2 days of skipping boring introduction week (yay!) and a double yay! to our college team for winning the competition though I'm a mere substitute whose presence there is only to lend support to the 6 main players. Despite not playing and hiding under the comfort of the umbrella, I still get burned.

Then 1 day after the competition, I went to the beach with my friends. We ate, cam-whored, swam in surprisingly cold seawater and played on the beach from 8am till 12.30 noon. How not to get toasted?

Luckily my basketball training has been pushed to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday nites.. Or else, I'll be unrecognizable. People might even think I'm from Kenya or something.

By the way, after 2 weeks of clinical training introduction in the lecture hall and hospital, I'll be starting my Surgery posting in the hospital tomorrow. There are 20 students in a group. Each will be assigned to his/her own patient. Hopefully, language problem wont be a barrier and of course, me not disappointing my patient!

Cheers to all.
