....My mum came to my room yesterday morning while i was sleeping.. suggested that we go out to KL that night for Moon Cake Festival celebration. Aduh! Disturbing my sleep b'cos of her plan. I just say yes, wateva to shut her up. I didn't expect my father to agree but he did. AiHs! So that night, they came home from work early and we supposed to leave at about 7 pm but dilly-dally till about 7.45 pm. Usually I'm the last person who gets out of the house. This time my reason: I was online, chatting with yat T
. They (family members) got quite pissed off and nearly locked me in.
.. OoOOo.. *takut**takut*
....Since the whole Jalan Imbi road was closed for the celebration, we decided to take the Monorail to Sungei Wang where the celebration was to, avoid traffic jam or parking woes.
WoOw!!.. .. Geddit? Many ppl but luckily it was not crowded and thank god.. that night was quite windy. I heard that the Prime Minister supposed to come. That explained why there's so many police officers
and RELA personnels
( exaggerating only lerh..bout the tank). Since the event somesort of happened in front of Sungei Wang(where bengs and la-las crowd), there were some guys singing songs on stage
. Nevertheless, I was not there to hear them sing or perform. Mean? So? U admit lerh?..
... I saw some folks holiding paper lanterns and was getting pretty excited. Regretted that i did not birng my dragon lantern there but then, I'll look like a retard. However, I compensated that by wearing a dragon emblem T-shirt, which i bought from Tropicana Life. I just love dragons.
My family and I continued to walk further up away from Sungei Wang. There we saw a group of Chinese middle-aged men playing drums and turmpets. You know.. the kind u usually find in Chinese opera but it's kinda weird b'cos to me, it actually sounds more like funeral songs.
Not that i've been to any funeral in the past years (TouchwooD~!) but tv is sure educational. Dad said we're actually in China (His favourite place in the whole wide world). Then we continued walking and came upon a group of Indian men playing their traditional songs.
to India!
At last i found a group of volunteers giving out paper lanterns. WoOHOo!!.. Mine was green and yellow in colour. Continued our journey and saw people crowding over "something". Nolarh.. looks more like a long queue. Oh, participants for the Miss Oriental Malaysia lining up in a straight line. Boy, they're sure pretty but some looks like.. aihs... better not say much. Sometimes the real person is actually better than seeing it on tv and vice versa
. Now where's my lion dances and dragon dance??!!! AhHh...
Finally i saw them! OHmiGod!.. There're about 10 of them. So cute!! I wonder how they manage to shake the lion tail. The atmosphere was just surreal....
Then the crowd started to get excited and really pushing because they thought that the prime minister was coming. I was standing on the pavement and lifted my lantern + my bro's lantern too, to avoid hitting people and likewise but i lost my balance and my lanterns landed on a Caucasian fella. Luckily i didn't burn his head. HaH! PM did not come
but instead sent his deputy, Datuk Najib. Hey, at least I got to see the deputy prime minister. Now who should i brag to??.
. We followed the lion dances and dragon back to Sungei Wang where the event will be held. There we met the group of Chinese middle-aged men again but the Indian group is no where to be seen. Oh did I mention that there's also people playing kompang when they greeted the Deputy P.M. How can I forget the Malays?. Muhibbah wert!
..I really saw lots of weird people. There's a lady with 70's or 80's bushy hair. Another lady wearing as though she's from a nearby nightclub. Middle aged woman wearing ultra mini shorts. Oh there's the typical ah bengs wearing button hugging shirt and la-la muis wearing bell bottom (no offense
). There's also woman screaming at child in public.
Over-excited woman shouting to husband *pointing to everything* *speaking in loud hokkien*.
My mum and I thought of staying there longer since the monorail operation time extended till 2 am but guys in my family seem to proved that male species are weak. My father and brothers wanna go home.. too tired to walk. Bah!
Reached home bout 12 am. Still online. I did my blog for Thursday till bout 3 am. I can't sleep. The brain just wont rest, though my body is damn tired. I realised that if I dont sleep before 3 am, I'll have to toss and turn till i finally doze off. So i always try to sleep before 3 am.
I finished reading a book: Jane Eyre by CharloTte Bronte. Quite lovely. Read it if u really believe in love beyond appearance or pure love itself.
