Work + Medicine

Haihs.

haihs haihs haihs haihs..

The sign of boredom.

Guess what?...

I've started working today.
... Actually I planned to work in order to kill boredom but eventually leads to another boredom.

Office work. From 9 to 5 in a construction firm. Recommended by my neighbour who happens to be my mum's yoga partner.

Paper work all day. Yuck Yuck yuck but easy job. Cheh. Insulting my intelligence. HeHeh.

Well, what to do.. good pay wert.. RM 800 a month but i can assure you (or myself at least) that I'll only work for a month! Can't stand the tedious paper work.

I guess I should be excited. MY FIRST JOB.

My parents seem to enjoy seeing me suffer with the usual it-is-difficult-to-earn-money theory with me proving it. Cant' wait for my payday... but...

have to belanja makan.... my family, grandparents n friends... who asked when i dont intend to offer... hAhah..... HAIhs....

Aside from that, in my earlier post I mentioned that I applied for biomedical scinece and medicine courses. Now... I'm taking on Medicine. GraSssP!!

No. I'm not inspired by the Tsunami incident. I have this idea before the incident. If I wanna take biomedical science, might as well spend 3 more years (on top of the 3 years to study biomed sc) and get better recognition, not to mention, pay.

Hopefully NUS will offer me a place in Medicine but... "hopefully".

Penang Medical School offers twinning wiht Ireland but DARN expensive. And Ireland is using euro, not pound sterling, which means, UK will MOST likely be more expensive. For Ireland itself the cost is close to RM700,000. *smack on the head* ANd the course is 6 years.

My current choice is Manipal University in INdia *bet u cheryl is laughing her heads off*. Hot climate, poor conditions, 95% Indians (no discrimination intended)and u know, "India". Apart from those reasons , it's cheap, good reputation and "YiPpee" (note the inverted commas), real human body to dissect and only 5 years course!!!

Other alternatives are medicine in Russia or Ukraine. Russia, maybe. Ukraine, definitely no. Studying medicine in ukraine is affordable. Heck, it's real cheap actually but ... mostly Malay students... I prefer Indian than. Russia, it's just so ... weird. But I like the idea of travelling in Europe during the holidays. Opps, think to far ahead.

Just pray hard I'll get a place in NUS or I might go to Manipal. Now must enquire more. My aunt said if Singapore government recognises Manipal, then I should go for it. The Singapore Government Kiasu Theory again. If something is good for the Singapore Government, then it's good for the rest of the world.

Btw how do you pronounce medicine??.. I've heard MED-CENT and MEH-DI-CENT.

*Yawning* SHould sleep now. "Tough" day tomorrow.

Work.
