"Bien fol est qui 'sy fie souvent femme varie"
- Women are so changeable that only a fool relies on them.
I find it amusing because:-
1) Quotes sound more "sophisticated" in another language, here, french.
2) I dunno whether to agree or disagree with the quote above. I have to say women are manipulative and competitive yet scary and emotional at the same time. They can't handle stress as good as men as proven in "the Apprentice" - Donald Duck's product or is it donald trump?- I can change my mind umpteen times before making a firm decision only to regret it later, such as, the time where i spend 15 minutes on a stupid (i'm the one who is s*****, i'm worried tht word might affect my mental growth)chemistry question only to realised that my first answer was the correct one. Hhah. Usually, only one species in the world relies on the women :Men. A woman understand each other so well that they'll take pre-cautious measuries against each other. In fact, women are their worst enemy. In contradiction, man has soft spot for woman. Cry in front of them and they'll go googoogaagaa/smushywushy/booblywobbly/wateva. In the end, the man is the fool. Simultaneously, this quote is insulting both man and woman. Who has the last laugh now?
3) Whenever we see a quote, we couldn't help agreeing or disagreeing with it, dont we? This make me wonder why some quotes are so true and i've never thought of it before? I did, I do, but i should have put it in words. Then maybe the next time you might see my name after a widely used and recognised quote.
While I was typing the first quote as stated above, my mind was thinking of another sarcastic one.
"Intelligent people made quotes. Fools repeat them."
I feel lame now.
I admit that i lack the talent in writing poems, composing songs, quotes and sorts . Maybe I have problems expressing myself? or I just suck in the creativity department. But wait, I make beautiful cards, you know! ( sheesh, so childish!)
I'll let u intepret the quotes on your own. We are all entilted to our own opinions. I hope it'll be a part of your collection too.
One of my favourite quotes is by Mother Theresa.
The greates disease is not TB or leprosy;
it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for.
We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the
only cure for loneliness, despair and hopelessness is
love.
There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread,
but there are more dying for a little love.
it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for.
We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the
only cure for loneliness, despair and hopelessness is
love.
There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread,
but there are more dying for a little love.
This is by Stephen Levine.
" If you had one hour to live and could make only one call, -
who would you call,
what would you say, and ....
why are you waiting?"
As quoted by Friendrich Nietzsche.
"What upsets me is not that you lied to me, but
that from now on,
I can no longer believe you."
This is the perfect wish for everyone by WIll Shakey.
"I wish you all the joy you can wish for."
Eleanor Rossevelt (wife of teddy rossevelt) said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent!"
Anonymous,
"Time is the best teacher; unfortunately, it kills all its students."
And finally this,
Never shall I forget
the days which I spent
with you..
Continue to be my friend,
as you will always
find me yours-
by Ludwig von Beethoven (he's not only good in music)
It hit me that these poems and quotes can actually be used as a guidance. They (the writers) are more experienced, afterall (and dead too!). Not following it exactly but as a remainder to be a better person.
