Probably the final gathering for gTLiers.

For the first time, all of us managed to gather as a group. No one was left out, no one gave lame excuses not to appear... Everyone is here just being themselves.. The gathering was supposed to be a farewell party for Li Yee and Emmerie but dearest Yat tuang and Shin Fei included a little suprise for me too!!..

The day started (semi-dazed) at 8.00 am. Mum and Dad came to my room before leaving to office, telling me things while i'm half asleep (half awake, wateva). So what my mum said was something like, "You bought shoes..??...blank blank.. ...room so cold.. blank..off to work.." I was like, "Mmm.. okkkk... ya o.. bye". Then, my handphone rang, I answered but dunno who and I didn't know what i said. That's a tad bit scary.

Finally, woke up at 11 am cos Shin Fei called to discuss about our grocery shopping plan. I purposedly answered the call by acting active cos normally people can tell the difference between just woke up sound and normal voice. I said cheerfully (reminder: i was awaken by the phone call), "HELLLO!!!.. YES!!? with sugar and spice and everything nice voice-yes. i watch powerpuff grils.. SO??- Shin Fei answered in her more-than-usual blur voice, "Eh, why you sound so happy? Later going to Tesco right? I just woke up larh." I replied, "Yes ar? I also just woke up. Pretending to be awake for quite long time." Shin Fei: ...

So, went to Tesco about 12.30 pm. Shin Fei, Yattuang and me spent 2 hours there doing groceries, they continued their shopping spree at Giant while I came back to marinate the fish -nice dory fish!!, nicer cos I marinated them, nicest cos the gang loved it- I went to see the management to get permission to hold the BBQ party at the poolside, but they wouldn;t allow it. This is freaking unfair because there're are bigger parties held there before and what nonsense reasons they gave.. My dad was equally mad because he feels that they are practising double standard. Anyway, no point getting angry over it now since i think our BBQ area was quite satisfactory. We ended up barbequieng outside my house, by the corridor. =)

I tried sleeping at 6.15 pm before they start arriving at 6.30pm. Dont understand why nowadays everyone seems to be very accurate when they want to call me? ! Always when I'm trying to sleep, the phone will ring. Chilaka.

Yattuang, Shin Fei, and Huiwan arrived and started to work on the potatoes. I think it's somehow our gTL official food, Potato something. ^_^ The dress code for tonight was "melebih-lebih" but only me, shin fei and huiwan came dressed up. I wore my punjabi suit from India. Everyone co-operated to make the dinner successful. Have to say the ones who worked the most are Yattuang and Shin Fei. Kudos to them! Again, I emphasized that EVERYONE did their part!! (all members of gTLiers are very sensitive - trademark-)

We then went down to take photos and play the stick firecrackers (courtesy of hot gypsy mama gorgeous diva Huiwan!). Special mention to my lovely youngest brother, Kenneth, who was so exhausted being our cameraman for the night until he have to control his bladder to take picture for us while we were holding the firecrackers. gTLiers acted silly, had fun, danced -all sorts: tango, ballroom dance, macarena, crisscross dance, which all ended up banging to each other out of kiasuness-, sat the swing, and posed our infamous pose which is the slide pose. That picture is definitely my favourite picture. The slide is still strong after all these years (sounds like some old faithful donkey). 2 years back, there were only 8 people on the slide, this year, 11 on the slide. Whoosh.

After awhile, I saw Yattuang and Shin Fei lighting up candles at the back part of the playground. Shin Fei signalled me to keep quiet. I nod my head and proceeded to distract li yee and emmerie. Naturally, I thought the cake (strudels from fruity actually) was for them. When they say, which song to sing, Auld lang syne?? I shouted, saying i dont know how to sing that song. I only know, For all acquintance be forget..??.. then suddenly, the song changed to.... Happy Birthday song!! The strudels/cake was ACTUALLY for me!! The biggest suprise is actually ...mine!! I was utterly shocked! Two suprises for my 19th birthday!! I love gTLiers lots! It kinda make me feel fortunate to have friends who go the extra mile to make me happy. I didnt expected it cos it's already been 2 moths but Shin Fei said the promised already. I know they are always saying mean stuff usually but their heart say otherwise.. well just like me. =)

Then Shin Fei proceeded to creamed Liyee with .. cream!.. She dont dare to cream Emmerie cos, actually shin fei was already quite pissed at some people attitudes. Something about being cream and dirtying the whole place. Hmmm.. i know we will clean up, so i didnt make any unneccessary complaints and I think being cream is just for fun. We all know each others attitude well enough to trust that whatever we do are acceptable cos we can see ourselves in their shoes. I know Liyee and Emmerie are ok with it.. but the ones who are pissed with Shin Fei are entitled to their own rights. No grudge. =>

By this time, Ming Choi, Pekyee, ShwuTyng and Huiwan has already left. When we went up, Ming CHoi and Pekyee had already washed some of the dishes. So sweet. My dad said we have already grown up. We know how to tidy up our mess. ahhahaha. He's touched. Dad has been super nice today. He barbequeued most of the food when we were down at the playground. Dad cleaned up the table and barbequeue area. He also washed the rest of the dishes, throw the rubbish and clear the mess. He tried to make everyone feel comfortable. Thanks dad!

Then Shin Fei did a little presentation with her laptop. It was flashback of our schooldays. Her words, songs and pictures are very matching. She's so emotional and sensitive. I feel she really cherish her friendship a lot. She's definitely a friend to be kept forever. I mean, all gTLiers are! but she's just very emotional. She holds dearly to her past.

gTL - gang tak laku, more appropriately, acronym for gatal.

I cannot predict the future nor can i guarantee how our frienship will turn out to be but for sure, once upon a time, we shared something memorable that's worth to be cherished.

I end this post by saying, today is one of those fine days of my so-far 19++ years.
