Open letter

Dearest Sabah,

A land I grew to love.
A land who open my heart to so many adventures, friends and wonderful experiences.
It pains me to see you being invaded by these militants and to see you continue suffering.

Your people, the Sabahans, is one of the most courteous and peace-loving people in the world and it really hurts that this is happening.

I can't help but wonder how long will these standoffs last and these so called "suluk Malaysians", who receive free treatment/free ic/free bumiputra status, where will their loyalty lie?! How much damage will it cost, economically, physically and mentally?

Sabah's resources are used to treat and sustain the non locals. And who has created all this problems? Rome wasn't built in a day. So is this. Thanks to the government leniency that sabahans are becoming minority in their own state!

Instead of the militants in Lahad Datu, Semporna and other areas involved now, I'm more worried about the everyday suluks who are around us. Will they turn their tide against us? The very hand who has been feeding them.

Yes I'm hurt and pissed.
Pissed that the beauty of Sabah is polluted by these monkeys from South Philippines and baboons from a certain blue party.

At the same time, it's about time Sabahans or Malaysians in general, to wake up and see what has our current government done to Sabah (the forgotten land where major resources/income is from here)

I'm not saying or siding any political party but I believe being in a certain position for so long has made the blue party lenient and complacent in their job. They have plundered the state out of its richness, bullied the kind-nature of its people and mislead the locals in believing that they only deserve this little.

I've seen people commenting that now it's not the time for political stand etc, instead time to support the army and police officers involved. I agree BUT let's not forget how this happened. Let's not forget the root of the cause.

If (a BIG fat IF) we manage to drive those militants away, then what? What will happen to the majority of non locals who are residing in Sabah? Will giving free IC still continue? Do we still cover their healthcare despite them not being Malaysians? Will the government deport them? Not easy to answer I guess.

On another note,

Never feel more proud of the army and police officer who are fighting for the country.
And also health personnel who are standing their ground to treat those injured.

To the higher authorities,
Please do not put their lives in vain. I plead you.

And finally, dearest Sabah,
Get well soon.

Love always,
A young doctor in a district call Keningau, at your service.
