Going trip on our own has it's pros and cons.
But it's afterall a holiday.. so.. happiness comes first!
We took our sweet time sight seeing.... no guides to chase us.. no pit stops at umpteen souvenir shops.. ample of time to stop and take pictures and to buy street snacks.. to blend in with the crowd.. to explore the back alleys where local restaurants are..
Nothin beats travelling than mingling with the locals ie using the subways, buses
The only thing that gave us away is the lonely planet book that I was carrying. LOL. Fine! and our Malaysian accent. *WHAT ACCENT La?*
